FAQs

• Do I have to carry my phone to track my round?

If you're using Arccos Air, you do not need to carry your phone with you during your round. Air can automatically track your shots from your pocket or belt, allowing you to leave your phone in your bag or cart.

If you're using Smart Sensors without Air, you'll need a phone or Apple Watch with you for shot tracking.

• How accurate is it, and what if it gets a shot wrong?

Both Arccos Air and Smart Sensors are designed to automatically capture your shots, but they work slightly differently.

With Smart Sensors, the sensor on each club detects the shot and automatically identifies which club was used. With Air, advanced motion sensing and A.I. detect your shots without requiring sensors. If you're using Air without sensors, A.I. Club Tagging can predict which club you used, or you can manually tag your clubs.

While we aim to make tracking as accurate and automatic as possible, occasionally a shot may be missed or an extra shot detected. If that happens, you can easily add, delete, move or edit shots in the Arccos app to ensure your round is accurate.

You can also use Air and Smart Sensors together, combining Air's shot tracking with automatic club identification from your sensors.

• Is my course mapped?

Arccos has more than 40,000 courses mapped worldwide, with custom mapping, AI Strategy and Strokes Gained analytics on each.

• Can I use Arccos in a competitive round?

Yes! Arccos can be used during competitive rounds.

Before you tee off, simply enable Tournament Mode in the Arccos app. This automatically disables features that aren't permitted under the Rules of Golf, such as adjusted “Plays Like” distances and AI club recommendations, while allowing you to continue using shot tracking and standard GPS distances.

As always, we recommend checking the specific Rules of Golf and any Local Rules for your competition before playing.
